THINK lots of little to CREATE BIG!
These two links can get you a lot of information on writing. Whilst I was scanning my docuements this morning, I found that I have a book yet unread, on freelance writing. It was by Yvonne Perry. She’s a pro. I did not have time to rea it then, and she doesn’t want others to copy exerpts, and so I send you to her link.
Freelance writing comes in many forms, some of which we often, myself included, forget. I will use recipes as an example. You can and have my permission to use recipes that I use in my blog: http://www.coachingcooking.com in some of the following suggestions. Please give my blog, and me credit.
You pobably have a slew of recipes of your own.
1) Many recipes provide the major content of articles. Look at some of your fav magazines. The New Mexico magazine often has a story woven by some local (usually well known writer) from the southwest and then the recipes or three recipes.
2) You can create similar articles for publishing online.
3) You can write regional magazines to see if they’d be interested,
4) You can contact local newspapers while they last,
5) You can start your own newsletter w/your recipes
After awhile you may go to local non-profits with a short simple book of your recipes.
You can create a calendar with recipes.
Once you get started, you may find 30 ways to build multiple ways to earn money from your recipes. Before you know it you’ll have a book on www.lulu.com, a blog, and maybe even a site. Imagination may get you on youtube, and if you can create extra income to beat the raises you may not be getting, then you have struck paydirt! All on recipes. Hmmm….maybe I can get over to www.squidoo.com and work on some new pages!
So get your mind ticking.
Now if recipes is not your thing, think of hobbies, interests, and activities you do love: hiking, walking, running, exercise, photography.
