Weekend Reading, 30 August 2008

by

Blog Nosh Magazine is a collection of great posts from all sorts of internet places. It isn’t another “week’s best posts” list: many (most?) of the posts are older (in terms of internet time) but are selected for the quality of writing. Often they were great posts written before the authors became popular, so current readers have missed them. I’ve yet to read something I didn’t enjoy from Blog Nosh.

Just Write from Content Quake offers well-written book reviews, word of the week posts, and other writerly meanderings. It’s a nice place to browse.

Scrambled Toast is a witty, funny collection of nothing in particular. Go here when you need a break from serious stuff.

Readers and Writers Blog is “an interactive universe of the written word.” The blog serializes works submitted and posts a chapter every Sunday. The serialized novel is back. Good for the weekend.

InkThinker Blog is a great resource for freelance writers. Funny, too. Go read. You’ll thank me later. And don’t forget to leave a tip.
